At Nokia the Global Packaging Design team is seeking a Packaging Design Specialist to develop new structural sales package concepts for Nokia's package portfolio. It will be a key part of your remit to support the effort to find sustainable package solutions and materials for global usage while promoting the Nokia brand by creating user-centric designs with a human approach. Of course, we will expect you to ensure all your designs comply with Nokia's material guidelines and environmental policy for material selection.
On a practical level your work will involve designing sales package structures, documenting concepts and creating renderings and prototypes (please note: artwork creation is not a part of this role). You will be responsible for the feasibility, functionality and reliability of your designs. On top of this, you will be expected to take charge of concept verification and the tests needed to ensure functionality.
To make the most of this exciting opportunity, you are a recognized specialist in the industrial design or packaging design area with 6-9 years of applicable experience and relevant academic qualifications such as a BS in Tech Science, Design, or Crafts & Design. This role requires both design (artistic) and structural design skills. Familiarity with structural sales package design and package materials, capabilities and manufacturing technologies will be seen as an added benefit. Besides being a proficient user of MS Office tools, you also know your way around rendering tools and other design tools such as Showcase, Illustrator and/or ArtiosCAD.
Methodical by nature, you are accustomed to organizing your own work and managing your time efficiently. What's more, you are capable of working and making decisions independently and at the same time you very much enjoy working as part of a team to achieve common goals. Because you are an extrovert, you thrive in a work environment where cooperation is the name of the game. You are also creative and innovative and keen to find opportunities for out-of-the-box thinking. In our international organization a confident command of written and spoken English is a must along with strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to see things from a customer point of view. Do you have what it takes to take on this design challenge? Apply today!
