In its strive to more strategically target some of its core markets, our client is currently establishing a 3-people-team across Europe for the long term business development of the sectors Energy, Infrastructure, Contracting & Engineering. Based out of the location Berlin, Germany the Business Development Manager CEE will identify and strategically develop new projects and accounts in the environment of larger, internationally operating Consulting-, Engineering-, and Contracting Companies, Utilities and the like. Having no immediate sales responsibilities, you will act as a liaison between those companies and the local sales offices, where calculations, quotations and the final contracting part of the projects will be handled.
Building on already existing preliminary market research, the tasks of this versatile position will comprise
• to establish and develop personal networks in targeted organizations and to introduce them to your company and products,
• to identify relevant projects and decision making structures at early stages, in order to influence RFQ and tender documents in favour of your products,
• to generate specific product requests and pass them on to the regional sales team in charge,
• to find out about trends and market developments in Poland, the Czech and Slovak Republics and adjacent countries and to feed back relevant information to sales, marketing and product development of your company.
The positions shall preferably be based at the regional sales office in Berlin (D); however due to frequent travel requirements a home office solution in the Czech or Slovak Republic is possible.
In order to succeed in this challenging position, you should hold a relevant university degree or a comparable education paired with a strong interest in technology and innovation. You ought to have some prior B2B sales experience, particularly in a Key Account Management role. You have worked with complex decision making structures in multinational corporations before, preferably in the CEE region.
As a person you are outgoing, a good
listener and networker, you possess excellent presentation skills, and
you are positive and service minded. You enjoy working in an
international environment involving frequent travel (50+%). Your mother
tongue should preferably be Polish, Czech or Slovak, with vey good
knowledge of English. A good basis of the German language is a plus.
While being used to working in an independent and self motivated
manner, you enjoy working together in a team across separate locations,
sharing leads and information, and jointly developing a client, a
project, and a sales success.
