Documentation Specialist

As a Documentation Specialist you will be a part of legal and data services team in Krakow, Poland which provides business support services to various UBS business divisions globally.

You will be supporting the EMEA Derivatives Competence Centre within UBS Global Asset Management. The EMEA Derivatives Competence Centre is responsible for negotiating derivatives trading agreements and responding to new regulations and market developments affecting all categories of derivatives used by the Global Asset Management business. Your primary role will be to draft and negotiate derivatives market agreements as well as to ensure that the core attributes of these agreements are approved and captured in the relevant systems. 

In this role you will have a chance to develop an in-depth knowledge of the derivatives business/processes, and various industry standard master agreements. You will be negotiating agreements for a variety of entity types e.g. pension funds, corporate clients and funds. You will work closely with the London-based EMEA Derivatives Competence Centre on a daily basis, with initial training planned to be provided in London, sitting in the Legal team. 

Standard working hours will fall within 8 am start to 6 pm finish (shift work patterns). 

This role is located in Kraków Business Park in Zabierzów. 

Responsibilities: 

• Preparation and analysis of trading agreements related to derivatives 
• Coordination of internal UBS approvals 
• Liaison with internal UBS areas globally: e.g. Legal, Credit, Operations, Front Office, Product Development, Client Liaison 
• Direct liaison with external counterparties (banks, brokers) to negotiate and ensure prompt execution of agreements 
• Regular contact with the ISDA Co-ordination team within UBS Global Asset Management, with the possibility to take part in global ISDA Committee calls where new business priorities are discussed with the Front Office. 
• Administrative activities that facilitate the negotiation processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Administration, Linguistics, Finance & Banking or Law 
• Excellent written and spoken English 
• Adequate professional experience in financial industry and/or law 
• Very good communication skills (with both internal and external clients) 
• Ability to resolve process-related issues 
• Strong attention to details 
• Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines 
• Ability to prioritize own workload on a daily basis and work independently 

Additional assets: 

• Experience of legal documentation drafting 
• Strong interest in legal matters and understanding of financial markets 
• Knowledge of the derivatives market, industry-standard agreements and associated financial products 
• Good written and spoken German
