Description
The Know Your Customer (“KYC”) Team of the Data Services Group conducts due diligence checks on potential / existing clients of the Investment Bank across all business areas and products types. KYC checks must be completed before a client transacts with UBS for the first time to manage and mitigate the risk of being involved in money laundering, financing terrorism or other illegal activities. Additional checks may also be required when an existing client extends their relationsh
Responsibilities:
Confirm/verify changes to client data and understand impact of that change to risk classification
Correctly perform background checks and negative news searches, identify red flag situations and escalate in line with policy and procedures
Ensure appropriate and confidential handling / sharing of sensitive information
Contribute ideas and participate in efforts to further improve and streamline the process
Requirements
BA/MA Degree in Finance or Legal or related
Experience in the area of financial services, banking sector or related
Very good written and spoken English
Ability to communicate effectively with all project personnel and other business area contacts
Strong time management, prioritization, work organisation and multi-tasking skills
Excellent attention to detail
Quick learner
