SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Profile: 

• Master degree in Computer Science / Electrical Power Systems Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in cutting-edge technology electronic products development preferably for power systems protection and automation sector.
• Experience in development for embedded designs and a good system-level understanding of protection devices, configuration tools and power substation control and automation.
• Extensive knowledge of C, C++, VxWorks, XML, ActiveX, Java is required, as is the ability to specify and employ common real-time embedded test equipment to debug and profile software on a target.
• Good knowledge of Windows and PC-based development is also necessary.
• Knowledge of hardware with DSP/FPGA development would be an advantage.
• Model based design using executable specification, real time simulation and hardware in the loop testing, automatic code generation from models along with functional verification, code validation and regression testing is required.
• Knowledge of RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems) for embedded designs, including those that provide memory protection, building firewall between the kernel and user tasks (preferably royalty-free).
• Knowledge of one or more of the following protocols will be an advantage: IEC61850, IEC 103, Modbus, DNP3.0, Wireless RF, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Network and interface protocols such as TCP/IP, Ethernet.
