IT Applications Analyst - PeopleSoft HCM
Strategy & Corporate Centre - Information Technology Department (IT) - Administration and Risk Applications Division - Human Resources and Financial Administration Applications Unit. S/he will be responsible for the maintenance of PeopleSoft applications, primarily the Human Capital Management (HCM) suite, including implementation of new features as required, under the supervision of the Head of Unit.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for, and carry out where appropriate, the maintenance and development of certain PeopleSoft modules
- Analyse possible solutions using PeopleSoft HCM with respect
to the business requirements. Identify the degree to which these can be
met without customisation and where justified define the customisation
required
- Implement the appropriate solutions or, as and when appropriate, manage an external team handling the implementation
- Take responsibility and initiative for the implementation of
new PeopleSoft HCM modules and upgrade projects, ensuring the quality
of the projects and the coherence of PeopleSoft configurations across
different modules
- Working in close collaboration with the IT PeopleSoft
Financials and EPM teams, provide technical and functional expertise
to ensure the optimal usage of the PeopleSoft HCM applications
- React quickly to issues and problems by analysing them and proposing solutions
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation in line with IT's
standards, in collaboration with the users and the PeopleSoft
Financials and EPM teams
Qualifications:
- University degree in a subject related to Information Technology
- At least 3 years of professional experience, preferably involving PeopleSoft software
- Excellent technical knowledge of the PeopleSoft architecture and tools
(including Global Payroll Core engine, PeopleCode, Application
Designer, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Application
Messaging, PSQuery, SQR)
- Good functional understanding of PeopleSoft HCM (Global
Payroll, Administer workforce, eRecruitment, eLearning, Time and
Labour, etc.) and good general understanding of the related business
processes
- Good knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques
used in business process analysis and re-engineering would be an
advantage
- Excellent knowledge of English or French and a good knowledge of the other
