SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

The job
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be working on challenging projects for the Automotive industry in the Netherlands. 
Education and experience:

• BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Automotive Engineering or equivalent
• At least 7 years work experience in the field of mechanical design of automotive (sub)systems
• Familiarity with the automotive development process, knowledge of Design for Six Sigma is a plus
• Theoretical knowledge of engineering physics in different areas, e.g. structural mechanics, material science (metal alloys), heat transfer, kinematics and dynamics
• Hands-on experience with high volume manufacturing processes like casting, forging, sheet metal fabrication and machining
• Strong modeling and drafting skills using parametric 3D CAD software (NX, Creo, CATIA)
• Ability to translate component functionality into dimensional specifications using GD&T
• Experienced in communicating with internal and external stakeholders such as test & validation, manufacturing, assembly, purchasing and suppliers

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to rapidly comprehend at a conceptual level
• Ability to transfer your expert knowledge to more junior engineers

• Ability to organize your work efficiently
