Heavy Duty Field Service Engineer / Mobile Mechanical Fitters

The Role

This opportunity for experienced, suitably qualified Mechanical and Electrical Fitters will see successful applicants work on large and heavy duty mobile equipment including Excavators and Trucks.

Initially, each Fitter will work for 3 – 4 weeks in Hitachi’s town-based workshop and then operate as part of a small team on a rostered basis at a number of mine sites in the area.

The Requirements

As the successful candidate, it is essential that you possess the following skills and experience:

• 5+ years of experience working on diesel heavy duty and earthmoving equipment (Dozers, Trucks, Excavators, Tractors, Graders etc.)
• Formal Apprenticeship Qualification
• Willingness to relocate to Australia on 457 Visa for 4 years
• Great attitude to new experiences, challenges and adventure
• Initiative, intelligence and ‘can do’ approach
• Fluent English speaking ability
