Unix/Linux Administrator
Unix/Linux Administrators works in 24/7 support handling a wide range of technical issues from various customers in several countries. The job is in a delivery environment where time constraints are critical and contractual service levels must be met.
Education:
University graduate with a technical degree
Years experience in position:
Minimum 3 years (full time job) in Linux environment
Required technical skills
Server administration ex:perience in large corporate environment (at
least dozens of servers in different sites connected via WAN)
Very good knowledge in Linux based infrastructure design and administration
Extensive troubleshooting experience
Good scripting skills
Good knowledge in designing and implementing of backup and disaster recovery concepts
Good knowledge in high-availability solutions
Good presentation and documentation skills
Strong communication skills
Knowledge in virtualization (e.g. VMware)
Experience in HW design and troubleshooting (IBM, HP, SUN, Dell, BULL, SGI)
IBM Tivoli monitoring and storage solutions knowledge
Storage Area Network knowledge
Problem & Change management tools knowledge
Project management fundamentals knowledge
Linux RHEL/SLES certification
RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
RedHat Certified Technician (RHCT)
Novell/SuSE Certified Linux Professional (CLP) 9, 10
Advantage:
Knowledge of Tivoli SW (DM, TEC, SWD, TSM etc.)
Knowledge of databases (DB2, Oracle etc.)

Ability to operate well in an international environment, multicultural environment

Able to work in 3 shift mode
Language:
English: fluent
