As an experienced Linux developer you can handle middleware development and naturally application and user interface development. With your strong knowledge foundation, you can easily extend into new technology domains and produce results soon even if the task at hand doesn't fit your past experience perfectly. You should have an appropriate education, e.g. BSc / MSc degree in Software engineering, with preferably a track record from the field.
