The IFCN - Dairy Research Network - is a research company cooperating with researchers from around 100 countries and serving another network of over 100 companies in the global dairy chain. The annual results are published in our annual IFCN Dairy Report. Moreover IFCN organizes 3 main conferences annually. In 2017 they are in Switzerland, Kiel and in India.

Our office is located in Kiel and we have a multicultural team of 18 people. As we plan to expand our Dairy Sector Analysis Team we are looking for highly motivated people, who want to step into an international acting company to face challenges with a solution orientated perspective. We are looking to hire a full time person for 40h/week, start date immediately/as soon as possible. Salary 36.000 Euro Brutto per year.

Job description for a dairy economist in the IFCN:

• Data collection, validation, the development of databases and analytical models
• Dairy analysis and output creation in dairy knowledge products
• Supporting in international consulting projects and our IFCN conferences

Your educational and personal background

• Bachelor or Master in economics or agricultural sciences  
• Knowledge in general economics, agricultural economics and statistical analysis
• Knowledge of the dairy sector from farming to the consumer  will be seen as an asset
  
  

Your skills and experiences

• MS office, especially Excel and the ability to create models for specific problems
• Experience in data analysis and accuracy of managing data
• High level of logical / analytical thinking and self-organization in your work
• Team player and intercultural competence
• English as this is the language in IFCN, every other language is an asset!
