Linux Programmer
Teleca Finland is looking for Senior Software Engineers and Software Specialist for different projects in Linux application, middleware and low level development. We have multiple positions available in our Espoo team. The role includes Linux system level components development and integration in mobile Linux platforms.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in the relevant field
- At least four years of software development experience
- Strong knowledge of C++/C programming languages
- Working knowledge of Linux operating system
- Solid command of Linux development tools (gcc, gdb, make, etc)
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (cvs, svn, git or similar)
- Hands-on experience with dpkg/RPM packaging
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
In addition we also appreciate the following capacities:
- Familiarity with Maemo/MeeGo platform architecture
- Experience in working with Linux open-source communities
- Experience in Qt & JavaScript development
- Experience in scripting languages Python/Ruby/Perl
The suitable candidate is a team player and has experience in working with international teams in multi-site projects.
